Underdog, just look at the mess you made

do you remember my mentioning of Drago, the husky mix with the ability to communicate with ghosts? I wrote about her and Nahl, her guardian, here: [link] . this is one of the scenes that I've had in mind for quite a long time. Spartacus, the saluki, is the leader of The Insurgents who want to fight over the Band Of Fangs. he's come to visit Drago and ask her for a prophecy, but when he hears that the future that lies ahead will bring doom for his pack, he gets rather angry. after threatening to kill "the little Witch-bitch" (that's how she's sometimes called by those who hate her or fear her), he's thrown out the wooden hut by Nahl. the white mutt is an independent medic, who offers his knowledge of herbs to anyone who needs it in exchange for food and sometimes protection. he also serves a fatherly role for the young Drago, whom he found as a little pup and decided to bring her up and guard her. he's normally very calm, but any danger that threatens Drago makes him really vicious.

Drago, the medium, the prophet, the seer, seems to be always distant and shy. she's afraid of loud sounds and crowds, she hates being shouted at. hardly ever cheerful, rather apathic, with terror and grief as the only emotions she really shows. Nahl believes she can be a happy dog too, so he always tries to make her smile, and when he succeeds, he's really proud of himself- and of her.

Spartacus is, well, a rebel. he's also rather hard to make smile, but he's of course not as limited with his emotions as Drago is. he is strict, self-confident and qute easily frustrated. he really cares about The Insurgents, for every single one of them, and for the group as a whole, even though they sometimes consider him cruel. he hates the oppression that the Band Of Fangs, with Cracatoa as their leader, put on everyone around. Spartacus used to be one of his followers, but he broke out and decided to face him. he believes war is the only way to put an and to the Fangs' regime.

pamięta ktoś Spartakusa? on też, jak wiele innych moich postaci, przeszedł metamorfozę w kwestii rasy. stwierdziłam jakiś czas temu, że jako afgan miałby po prostu przerąbane z tą sierścią, więc został chartem perskim. tych dwoje to Nahl, samotny zielarz (mocno inspirowany Kłakiem, przyznaję, a jego wygląd to dokładne przedstawienie kundelka, którego spotkałam na Węgrzech) i Drago. ta młoda mieszanka husky'ego jest czymś w rodzaju medium, wieszczki- została przez Nahla przygarnięta jako szczeniak i teraz pozostaje pod jego stałą opieką. Spark przyszedł z zapytaniem o przewidywany wynik wojny z Bandą Kłów, a usłyszawszy niezbyt optymistyczną wizję, wściekł się nie na żarty.
